Herald shield quest

You can only obtain a Herald Shield by doing a quest:

Visit either Meidei, Pietro or Tova.

You say, "I am looking to do a mining expedition."

NPC says, "I heard that <NPC> wants someone to go on a mining expedition for him, and that it may be of particular interest to your guild members. You may want to send one of them to ask him about it."

Move to the mentioned NPC.

You say, "I am looking to do a mining expedition."

NPC says, ""Aye, someone eager to do this favor for me. Undoubtedly you've heard that the orc mines have reopened. Well, them orcs mine a strain of iron ore that's of a much higher grade than what we can get out of the stripped out Jasper mines. I want to get my hands on some more of it before the Princess or Duke or whoever's running the show now closes them caves back up. Bring me some ore, and I'll use the last of what I have now to make you a coat of arms."

Go loot a Chunk of Ore in the orc caves and bring it back to the NPC.

NPC says, ""Ah, this will make for some fine weapons and armor! Thank you greatly, <name>. In your absence, I have fashioned a shield which displays your guild's crest and colors. Wear it forth proudly, you have done well for your guild this day."
